Additionally, the slots on a Weaver rail are slimmer, measuring 3.8 mm, which permits scope mounts made for Weaver rails to be used on a Picatinny rail. About the Heckler & Koch

Heckler & Koch, known as H&K, was established in 1949 in Oberndorf, Germany. By 1959, the G3 battle rifle, developed from the CETME rifle, became standard for the German Bundeswehr. About the H&K SL7

The H&K SL7 is a semi-automatic rifle with a delayed roller-locked bolt system, designed as a hybrid between sporting and military firearms. It features a hammer-forged polygonal barrel, a folding bolt handle, and adjustable military-style iron sights with a rear drum aperture and a hooded front blade. The rifle has a wooden stock and handguard, along with a crisp trigger and a left-side safety lever. The SL7’s receiver includes two square cutouts for scope mounting but does not have an integrated dovetail or pre-drilled mounting holes. It comes with a flush-fitting 3-round magazine, with 10-round options available. The barrel length is approximately 18.3 inches (465mm). Production ended in 1991.

Mounting Instructions

Clean the rifle's receiver thoroughly with a cleaning fluid, such as acetone, to remove all stains, grease, and oil. Once the surface is clean and dry, verify that the screws fit both the rail and the receiver holes. Before mounting the rail, apply a minimal amount of thread-locking fluid (278 or 648) to the screws, avoiding any contact with the mounting holes. Carefully clean any excess fluid around the rail using the cleaning fluid. Using a torque driver, tighten the screws to the appropriate torque (up to 3 Nm/26.5 in-lbs).
