ABOUT THE ATHLON NEOS HMR SERIES

The Athlon Neos HMR series combines classic riflescope styling with modern features and is aimed at hunters who want a dependable, well-equipped optic at an affordable price. The scopes are designed for practical hunting use, from close-range forest hunting to longer shots in open terrain.

The series covers a wide range of configurations, including 2-7×32, 3-9×40, 3-9×50, 4-12×40 and 6-18×50 models. Alongside the simple Center-X crosshair, Athlon offers several specialised reticles calibrated for specific uses, such as muzzleloaders, shotguns, straight-wall cartridges and rimfire calibres like .22 LR and .17 HMR. Some models feature illuminated reticles, and selected rimfire versions come with exposed turrets calibrated for their cartridge.

All Neos HMR riflescopes are built on a one-piece 1-inch aircraft-grade aluminium tube and use second focal plane reticles, which keep the same visual size at every magnification. Fully multi-coated lenses provide bright, clear images with natural colours, while the sealed, nitrogen-purged construction keeps the optics waterproof, fogproof and shockproof in demanding field conditions.

ABOUT THE MODEL (ATHLON NEOS HMR 2-7X32)

The Athlon Neos HMR 2-7×32 is the most compact model in the series. Its low magnification range and short, light build make it a practical choice for muzzleloaders, light hunting rifles and carbines used at short to medium distances.

At 2×, the field of view of 17.7 m at 100 m allows fast target acquisition on moving game, while 7× provides enough detail for careful shot placement at longer distances. The 32 mm objective lens and fully multi-coated optics deliver a bright image with true colours. Eye relief of 98–117 mm adds a safety margin on rifles with noticeable recoil.

The scope is available with two non-illuminated second focal plane reticles. The Center-X SFP MOA is a classic crosshair with heavy outer posts that guide the eye to a fine centre, making it easy to see against cover and in twilight. The BDC250M Muzzleloader SFP MOA reticle is designed for today's most popular muzzleloader rounds and provides holdover points for confident shots at extended targets. Its subtensions are valid at 7×.

The capped turrets protect the zero from accidental changes and can be reset to zero after sighting in. They adjust in 0.25 MOA clicks with 15 MOA per rotation and offer a generous 100 MOA of total elevation and windage travel. Parallax is fixed at 100 yards, and the fast focus eyepiece allows quick reticle focusing.

The one-piece aircraft-grade aluminium tube is nitrogen purged, waterproof, fogproof and shockproof, so the riflescope stays reliable in rain, snow and changing temperatures.
